Lenovo makes a statement

We recently started purchasing more computers from PC maker Lenovo.  Typical customer service from computer companies varies from excellent to barely capable.  In this case Lenovo has chosen to show its commitment to the US market in writing.  You be the judge, is it funny or unacceptable?  Read the email below and decide for yourself.

  • I, too, have received the above email, as well as many others. On-line chat sessions and telephone calls have been made, many lies have been told by Lenovo CS reps and, still, as I sit here at my desk on January 28, 2013, the Carbon Touch X1 ordered on December 19, 2012 has not arrived. Original ship date was to be December 27, 2012. Then, for a couple of weeks, there was no info available (even their online order check site was broken). Starting on January 9, 2013, I have been told the computer would ship by, but probably sooner than 1/11/13, 1/14/13, 1/16/13, 1/19/13. I finally did get a notice that it was shipped on 1/24/13, with a UPS tracking number. According to UPS, they did not receive the package until 1/25/13 and it arrived in Louisville, KY on 1/26/13. And there it will remain because, along with many other computers shipped by Lenovo, it is lacking the proper Customs documents. Incompetency and outright malfeasance from start to finish.
